No More Mexican Cokes

Mexican Cokes For quite a while now I have been purchasing Mexican Cokes in the glass bottle to avoid high fructose corn syrup.

The Mexican Coca Colas continued to be made with real sugar, you could avoid plastic, and they were cheaper if you normally purchased the singles. The only downside was that they came in metric measurements, half a liter is too much, one third liter is too little; goldilocks prefers 20 oz.

The other day tragedy struck: these seemingly identical bottles of Mexican Coca Cola actually have different ingredients! I witnessed the change over from sugar to high fructose corn syrup. It's terrible and I don't know what to do about it.

I've had to stop buying Mexican Cokes and am now relying on the limited issue Mountain Dews with real sugar, which are still available for some reason. Dan speculated that perhaps this precedes Coke offering a real sugar product bottled in the USA; I hope this is the case, but for now I see this as another victory for HFCS and the big corn lobby.
