No Ithaca sightseeing trip is complete without a visit to Taughannock Falls; I stopped briefly to take a few shots as I always do. I am in Ithaca to sign papers and see old friends, but it's been so long that I see many visible changes in the community, on the commons, and at the Lab of O. This trip I spent the mornings birding, the afternoons cooling down at my favorite swimming hole, and the evenings at friends' houses.
I surprisingly never seem to exhaust the possible benefits of my name. From people at the lab who still remember me because of my "born to bird" name to this random girl with a Crow tattoo, the name served me well. Sadly, my request to see the entire tattoo was denied, but she was a good sport about the documentation considering it's location. Kind of makes me think changing your name to butterfly or dolphin might not be completely without merit.
